Who Said It?: Glenn Beck or a Psych Patient?
Glenn Beck is a nutcase. So are my patients. So, who said it? Glenn Beck or a delusional, aggressive, paranoid individual with a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder and anti-social personality disorder tendencies?
”I’m thinking about killing [him], and I’m wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. … No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong?” READ MORE
Talk About Something Else, Donald Trump
Is Donald Trump’s birther debate annoying the shit out of anyone else? CNN seems pret-ty sick of it too, having reportedly conducted their own investigation:
“A new CNN investigation reveals what most analysts have been saying since the “birther” controversy erupted during the 2008 presidential campaign: Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Period.”
Honestly, with the state of our national debt, revolutions erupting all over the middle east, and more social problems than ever (hello gay marriage, be legal already please,) the redundant and already proven birth certificate debate is the LEAST of our worries. Why doesn’t Trump, I don’t know, talk about how he’s going to “fix our country” if he becomes president? Or there are always his inevitable plans to document his entire presidency with a show on NBC and eventually try to take over the world.
Plus, if Michele Bachmann is distancing herself from this debate, you are seriously nuts, Mr. Trump.
Let’s hear something else, Donny.
What do you think about Trump’s possible bid for presidency?
Midwasted’s Cultural Kitchen: Let’s Hash This Out
Both sides of the fence have submitted paperwork to force recall elections for Wisconsin state senators. I, personally, am shocked that Republicans were able to collect enough signatures but fair is fair. I guess this means Wisconsinites will be hashing out their differences this summer. Will Democrats take back control of the state senate, essentially squashing Scott Walker’s power trip? Will Republicans gain more seats and silence working class families? Or, will everything stay exactly the same? Only time will tell. Hashing out differences can be stressful, and this summer will undoubtedly be a long, expensive, drawn out battle. For a better hash, try this recipe for breakfast sweet potato hash. I promise it is cheaper than a recall election and far less bitter. READ MORE

BlueCheddar On Scott Walker’s D.C. Trip
Progressive Wisconsin Blog BlueCheddar has an article up that rounds up some of the best moments from Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s testimony in Washington D.C.
First grilling of the season. And they’re all sooooooo good. You can’t enjoy just one. But if there were only one to take in, I would select Gwen Moore’s. She is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Who Said It? Michele Bachmann or a Psych Patient
In case you haven’t read anything else I have posted on this lovely website, I am a nurse and I work in a psychiatric inpatient hospital. I deal with some seriously ill people. And seriously ill people say the darndest things. I was trying to figure out how I could share with all of you the funny from the funny farm while making it relevant and then I came up this: Who Said It? In what (I hope) will be a daily piece, I will leave you a quote or two and you can guess if it was said by a conservative pundit or one of my patients! It isn’t as easy as it sounds.
