Embattled Governor of Wisconsin Scott “Union Buster” Walker showed his stripes today after the audio of his phone call with billionaire right-winger David Koch was leaked on YouTube.

Even more embarrassing for Walker, that’s not David Koch.

Ian Murphy of the Buffalo Beast managed to get a one-on-one phone call with Walker, who has recently announced he wouldn’t be taking phone calls, by doing a, frankly, terrible impersonation of the seventy-year-old business emperor.

The Governor’s office released a statement: “The governor takes many calls everyday. Throughout this call the governor maintained his appreciation for and commitment to civil discourse. He continued to say that the budget repair bill is about the budget. The phone call shows that the governor says the same thing in private as he does in public and the lengths that others will go to disrupt the civil debate Wisconsin is having.”

It doesn’t seem like the official line is going to be enough for state Democrats, (not to mention liberals all over the country,) as they don’t address Walker’s hints at an aborted plan to send provocateurs into the capitol protest, nor his apparent acceptance of a free vacation to California by the head of the second largest privately-owned corporation in the United States.

Frankly, I’m not sure what’s more embarrassing for Governor Walker, that his callous attitude towards the movement in Wisconsin has been leaked to the world, or that it was leaked because he was duped by an impression worse than Fred Armisen’s Obama.
